The delicate mist inhaler (SMI) is a more moderen form of product. It results in a cloud of medication you inhale with no assistance of a propellant. Since the mist has a lot more particles than MDIs and DPIs plus the spray leaves the inhaler extra slowly, more of the drug receives into your lungs.
